Newport Half Marathon Is Marooned!

Over 80 Lliswerry Runners completed the Newport Half Marathon on 2nd March 2014 & possibly an equal number supporting and marshalling. This makes it the most popular race in the club's 29 year history! Even better, our Men's & Ladies teams were worthy winners and our very own Emma Wookey smashed her PB to come in as first Lady with Lou coming in second.

But it was the moral victories of all the new maroon & white vests making their debuts which was most noticeable. Pay back time for all those nights of hard training!

parkrun Honours For Lliswerry Runners

Commitment, hard work & a lot of cake in the Brewhouse lead to some great things for some very special Lliswerry Runners.

James Pearce was voted Sweatshop winner for January 2014 based on his sparkling performance, enjoying 3 PBs in the month. That marathon training really suits you James! Sue Hotchkiss completed her 100th parkrun despite a niggling injury. Linda & Alfie Dursley completed a family double 100th appearance. Alfie described this week's run as "ruff". It's certainly not easy dragging Paul around every week.
